Maggie Evans, company principal and chief storyteller

My sole purpose is to wow people. My clients are wowed by how quickly I “get” them and what they want to get across to their customers. My clients’ customers are wowed because they feel an instant personal connection to my clients and they’re further wowed into doing what my clients want them to.  storyteller, copywriter, south florida copywriter, copyeditor, south florida copyeditor, web writer, online writer, web editor, south florida web writer, south florida web editor

How do I work this magic? Because, as people tell me, I’m a natural storyteller – compelling and sincere with loads of fun ideas and energy to share. I’m engaged and totally present in the conversation. People quickly see that I not only want to help them but that I can help them. I can tell their story.

Since I was a kid I’ve loved language and the art and craft of writing. From my early days as editor of my high school newspaper to eventually making a career in writing, I’ve developed a style that not only informs but also touches and persuades. Whether my words are evoking an emotion, compelling people to take action, or leading them through a process, the message is loud and clear.

Phyllis Moroney, copywriter extraordinaire and social media marketeer

I have always loved the written word – including in its present electronic form. Unlike many writers, I don’t mind reading something in e-ink because it doesn’t change the words one bit.  I love the fact that technology is changing so fast because it allows more people to write, in more mediums, and reach larger audiences.

My love of writing started way back in the day, when a great boss of mine encouraged me to quit my job and try my hand at writing (pun intended, BTW).  I took his advice and enrolled in college, where I majored in journalism.

Once in school, my journalism and radio/television professors also told me that I was a natural writer, so I finally started believing it and became co-editor of the college’s newspaper, covering speeches by Henry Kissinger and G. Gordon Liddy, and writing feature articles and op-ed pieces.

To earn some cash, I also worked part-time covering a small town (my “beat,” if you will) for a local newspaper. My dedication and eagerness led to said small town being mentioned in the paper more times under my watch than during the past many years.

With that solid foundation, I’ve had – and continue to have – wonderful opportunities to use my writing skills in a multitude of forums. From planning, launching and executing social media campaigns for fundraising efforts at my son’s school, to PR and marketing for large corporations, I know how to reach out and draw people in.

Oh, and that small town that finally made it on the map while I was covering it…? You’ll see the same results when you partner with Lockstock Communications.
